Two Feet Forward is a contemporary Christian band with musical roots ranging from pop/rock to bluegrass to modern worship. Our debut album, Put on Love, features 10 original songs that pull heavily from Scripture and focus on the theme of Christian discipleship.
We are devoted to serving alongside other ministries for the purpose of helping people mature as followers of Christ. With this in mind, we concentrate on three major intentional acts of service: worship leading, concert performances, and original songwriting.
Worship Leading
We believe that worship services provide a meaningful way for people to connect with God through song, prayer, and Biblical teaching, and we take our roles as worship leaders very seriously. We each serve as volunteer leaders within our home churches and serve together leading worship at area churches, often in conjunction with concert performances.
Two Feet Forward leads worship services with a unique style, artfully weaving together two major characteristics:
- Scripturally Solid – leading well-known and original songs that are based in Scripture and encourage worshiping God through singing as well as living
- Musically Diverse – with a high level of energy and musical professionalism, we play a variety of modern worship songs, classic worship choruses, and traditional hymns performed in a style that combines contemporary rock and bluegrass
A standard Two Feet Forward worship playlist includes songs like: Mighty to Save, Everlasting God, Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone), How Great Thou Art (rock version), Step By Step, and Take My Life (Holiness).
Concerts
Two Feet Forward’s concert performances are high-energy, Scripture-based, and focused on themes of discipleship. Performances include original songs within four stylistic genres consisting of rock, bluegrass, acoustic, and worship. We strive to help the audience connect with God through song in a way that encourages everyone to put into practice the teachings of Jesus.
We own a complete sound system and provide promotional materials. Average concert duration is 1½ hours.
Songwriting
We view songwriting as a very important part of our ministry. We strive to write songs that express deep truths from Scripture in a modern style that encourage us all to further maturity in Christ. Our songwriting tends to fall into these categories:
- Scripture Songs – rock and worship songs that are direct quotations from Scripture
- Discipleship Focused Worship Songs – songs written to help God’s people live out worship everyday
- Hymn Remakes – deep truths from timeless texts rewritten with modern melodies and arrangements
- Personal Experience Songs – stories from our personal Christian journeys; the triumphs, failures, joys, and stumbles along the way
